After working for over a decade in public schools and almost twice as long in movements for social justice, I rarely respond to any call to meet and talk shop on a Friday evening. At the end of the week, I favor the occasional happy hour or a simple nap to try and gather steam for a weekend at home with the family. However, as an educator and an agitator who lives and works in the Bronx it felt like the October 4th screening of Growing Fairness at the Bronx Museum of the Arts was the only place to be.
